Our client, a leading energy generator with three power stations, is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their team.

Initially the role will be on a contract basis; however for the right candidate there is a possibility it will go permanent. The role is 4 days per week, working a 36.5 hour week, and temporary accommodation can be organised.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and Scheduling work requests in line with the Work Management Process
• Schedule internal and external resources to execute the work
• Identify and secure parts and materials required to complete the work
• Provide job estimates based on trades or skills required, sequence required and number required
• Provide a budget cost estimate for the work to be performed: labour, material, and outside services
• Manage the backlog of work orders
• Lead scheduling meetings with Operations & Maintenance personnel and project managers to deliver the weekly work schedule
• Communicate weekly work schedule to all stakeholders
• Issue scheduled work orders with job plan packets
• Report on performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports
• Efficient planning and scheduling of all resources necessary to achieve the scope of works and budgetary requirements.
• Actively participate in scheduling meetings with project managers and other stakeholders to finalise priority, optimum shutdown windows, and necessary lead times

As the successful candidate you will have:
• Trade qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical background
• Experience working in either power generation or a heavy industry
• Planning experience using SAP
• Previous exposure to works management
• Sound level of oral and written communications
• Organised and ability to work to tight timeframes.
• Experience with Workplace Health and Safety and Risk Management policies
• Ability to read as constructed drawings, machine and process drawings, and the ability to sketch or redline existing drawings
