Our client is seeking the services of a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Gladstone region. You will take responsibility for the safe operation and asset availability of the mechanical systems and related equipment across their allocated plant assets.

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that all plant meets statutory requirements to operate;
• Managing contractors to ensure that compliance with competencies are maintained;
• Prepare cost and schedule estimates, makes recommendations as to the methodology, equipment, and material requirements as per asset life engineering;
• Analyse operational data and machine performance history to identify and deliver improvement opportunities in machine performance including; decreasing unscheduled downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, mean time between failures, mean time to repair and maintenance costs;
• Compliance with SHEC standards & procedures;
• Analyses records, troubleshoots equipment problems, and makes procedure recommendations to operations and maintenance or implement engineering solutions.

It is an essential requirement that the successful applicant should possess or be willing to obtain the below;
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience, with considerable change management and safety component
• Proven experience in delivering advanced maintenance and condition monitoring strategies;
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
