On behalf of our client, we are looking for a National Business Development Manager based in Perth. This is a new position reporting to the Head of Sales and is responsible for identifying new processing projects and sales prospects around Australia along with expanding and enhancing current business relationships.

Key Responsibilities
• Developing business growth strategies and plans and increasing business client base
• Researching, predicting and keeping up-to-date with new projects both with mining companies themselves, their vendors and determining which organisations a mining company may utilise for design and construct projects
• Follow industry trends locally and internationally providing consultative advice to business leaders about current and future technology in the mineral processing area
• Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
• Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise to clients, troubleshooting problems and recommending product solutions for various environments
• Assisting the sales team to develop tenders and bids for new projects
• Negotiation and influencing of key stakeholders

Key Criteria
• Extensive business development experience preferably in the EPC/EPCM mineral processing product manufacturing and distribution area
• Solid existing relationships within the Australian mining operations and contractor industry nationally
• Extensive technical knowledge of valves, pumps, pipes and controllers for slurry transportation around processing plants through to tailings
• Proven business development experience with examples of business growth success
• Polished client relationship communication and account management skills
• Self-motivation with an energetic curiosity for the next new project or business development opportunity
• Good negotiation and influencing skills
